Peer Fundraising

PEER FUNDRAISING

Accomplish more, Together.

You can sign up online to raise funds for Reality Changers. By reaching out to your family and friends, you can expand our reach and bring in more donations for Reality Changers students and alumni. Every dollar raised supports programming like tutoring, mentorship, career development, college application guidance, and the alumni network.

What is peer fundraising?

Peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraisers set up their own online fundraising pages and then ask their networks for donations. You are probably most familiar with peer-to-peer fundraising if you have participated in a charity 5k run or given to a friend’s birthday fundraiser on platforms like Facebook and GoFundMe.

It’s easy to get started and our team is here to support you every step of the way! Your fundraising page will already have graphics and language that you can use to promote the Reality Changers cause. In addition, you will receive a toolkit and other resources to help you ask for donations.

If any questions arise or if you run into any complications, a staff member from the Development Team will be able to assist you!

Upcoming Peer Fundraising Opportunities

Over the edge (now-july 17)

Over the Edge is a one-of-a-kind event where attendees rappel down the side of a 30-story building. Space is limited and rappel spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to registrants who raise at least $1,000. Funds raised will support first-generation youth on their college journeys.

Building Brighter Futures (April 21 - May 8)

Building Brighter Futures is a special celebration of Reality Changers’ 20th Anniversary. Since 2001, the organization has helped more than 2,900 students. Reality Changers graduates now study, work, and live all over the world. Their ranks include college students, career professionals, parents, homeowners, small business owners, leaders, advocates and much more. Raise funds to help Reality Changers continue a legacy of building brighter futures for youth from underrepresented backgrounds.
