News: Trailblazers in Their Families, Now They’re Forging a Path Through a Pandemic Graduation

Graduating seniors Michelle, Salvador, and Endiya, were recently interviewed by Adriana Heldiz at the Voice of San Diego about what it is like to graduate high school as a future first-generation college student, during a global pandemic. Michelle will be heading to the University of Richmond, Salvador will be going to UC Berkeley, and Endiya will be heading to USC.

Salvador shared, “At Reality Changers, I really got to experience what success would be like for me as a first-gen. No one else in my family had done this step, so I wasn’t really encouraged to do it. Without that emotional support, I wouldn’t be in this stage right now.”
