Scholar Celebration Volunteer

Overview

Are you passionate about the Reality Changers mission? Do you enjoy meeting new people? Volunteer with us! We are looking for volunteers to greet and direct guests, check in students and families, and help make the event memorable for all. Volunteers will get free access to the Zoo on May 31st and contribute to lasting memories for Reality Changers’ graduating seniors.

Approximate Shifts Available

This event is on Sunday, May 31st, with volunteers needed from 2 – 9:30 pm. Shifts will be approximately four hours, and volunteers should be prepared for light physical movement and spending time outdoors.

1. First shift (2:30 – 6:00 pm)
2. Second shift (5:30 – 9:30 pm)
3. All Day (2:30 – 9:30 pm)

Duties / Roles Available:

Check In: Check in volunteers will be seated at tables outside the Zoo entrance. You will check in our graduating seniors, their family members, other volunteers, and guests. All training will be provided.

Park Greeters/Guides: Volunteers will be standing, stationed at specific areas throughout the Zoo, such as by the entrance, exit, and Skytram, to make sure Reality Changers students and families know where to go.

Zoofari Set Up: Set up volunteers will help set up the Zoofari “staging” area and the Wegeforth Amphitheatre for the ceremony. This may involve lifting and carrying boxes or unpacking supplies.

Amphitheatre Greeters: Volunteers will stand outside the Wegeforth Amphitheatre and enthusiastically welcome guests to the ceremony and/or help guide guests inside the amphitheater.

Afterparty Set Up: Volunteers will transport supplies from the Zoofari “staging” area to the pavilion and set up for the afterparty.

Farewell wishers: Volunteers will excitedly thank students and guests for attending and wave them towards the exit.
