What is your favorite thing about working at Reality Changers?
Helping to motivate, empower, and encourage students along their journey towards graduation. The college and career planning process is one of the most crucial times in their lives. From start to finish, we support students at every place along their continuation, making their dreams a reality. As our mission says, “we prepare youth to become first-generation college graduates and agents of change in their community.“
What work accomplishment are you most proud of?
Acquiring my College Counseling Certification (UCSD) | Practicum and Clinical Practicum with Urban Discovery Academy/Reality Changers. Also, being asked to be this year’s Urban Discovery Academy graduation keynote speaker. The theme was on resiliency.
Why is Reality Changers’ mission important to you?
Education is the greatest equalizer. Without an education, we have an unjust society. But, with an education, people live happier, healthier and more impactful lives. It truly is a ripple effect; affecting individuals at not just an individual level, but within their own families and communities
