Reality Changers would like to welcome Chanel Bradley to the team! As the Community Partnerships Coordinator, Chanel connects staff and students with community engagement opportunities. Her goals are to find key resources for students, build community engagement opportunities, plan special events, and contribute to communications. She hopes to deepen students’ volunteerism through community service projects that build identity, team camaraderie, and community.
Chanel has over seven years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector with specialization in both education and the arts. In 2012, she graduated from California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Women’s Studies and a minor in Visual and Performing Arts. In 2016, she began her Master’s of Nonprofit Management and Leadership at the University of San Diego.
During her free time she frequents creative circles in Mission Hills, Kensington, Hillcrest, City Heights, and Barrio Logan. In 2017, Chanel was a featured dancer in the debut troupe of Shock Army, an intergenerational team of dancers ages 25 to 60 based at Culture Shock Dance Center. She also expresses herself through painting and other visual arts. In the fall of 2016, Chanel founded Casitas Tres, a nonprofit that intersects her love for the arts and her community with a passion for social justice. In the fall of 2016 Casita Tres began hosting local artists at KeniHeights Night Market, a community initiative where local San Diego artists and crafters display and sell their work.
Chanel is a foodie who loves exploring culture through cuisine. She is a taco addict and loves eating sushi and poke any chance she gets. Her favorite color is purple.
